The capital will facilitate a Final Investment Decision for Phytokana’s proposed dry fractionation plant located in Strathmore, which is designed to process an estimated 30,000 metric tonnes each year.
The new line has been installed at the company’s Weston Road site in Crewe, increasing its overall cookie production capacity by more than 30%.
Consolidated net sales reached US$2,787.3 million, an increase of 6.6% compared with the prior-year period, while organic net sales on a constant-currency basis rose 3.6%.
Production of cereals using the new recipes will begin later this year, with reformulated products shipping to retailers before year-end.
