NIGERIA – BUA Foods Plc has launched Bakers Pride Flour in Kano, introducing a new product aimed at supporting commercial and everyday bakers with consistent baking performance, product versatility and value amid growing demand for reliable flour supplies in the country’s bakery sector.

The product was unveiled at a trade launch attended by bakers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers and other industry stakeholders.

The event also received coverage on Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) and other media platforms, increasing visibility for the new brand and its intended market.

Introduced under the slogan “Bake Smart. Bake Better,” Bakers Pride Flour is positioned around three pillars: Smart Choice, Dependable Baking and More Possibilities.

BUA Foods said it developed the product with the practical needs of Nigerian bakers in mind, combining dependable quality with flexibility across different baking applications.

The flour is intended to produce a range of baked products, including gurasa, a popular flatbread in northern Nigeria, conventional bread loaves, and other bakery items.

Its versatility is expected to give bakers more options to meet customer preferences and diversify their product offerings.

Speaking at the launch, BUA Foods Managing Director Ayodele Abioye said the introduction reflected the company’s commitment to supporting bakers as business partners.

He highlighted consistency, productivity, and value as key considerations in developing the product, adding that the company sought to give bakers confidence in their daily operations.

Adewunmi Desalu, BUA Foods’ General Manager for brand and corporate communications, said the product was designed to address both the technical and commercial demands of baking.

She noted that bakers must balance finished-product quality with the costs and practical realities of running their businesses.

The company is also relying on its distribution network to establish Bakers Pride Flour in the market.

General Manager of Sales Alim Liman emphasized the importance of distributors, wholesalers and retailers in ensuring product availability and reaching target customers.

BUA Foods plans to work with these partners to expand distribution and build market acceptance.
