Rise Baking Company will significantly expand its existing facility in Pleasant View, Utah, while simultaneously preparing to shutter its production plant in Kent, Washington, later this year.
The launch has already demonstrated remarkable commercial momentum, with the Company announcing that the entire first shipment from the new regional facility sold out immediately upon release.
The divestiture is part of its ongoing Accelerate strategy to reshape the portfolio and concentrate resources on priority global platforms, including super premium ice cream, Mexican food, snack bars, and pet food, to improve long term profitable growth and raise operating profit margins.
The concept reimagines the classic Spanish tortilla (omelet) by incorporating Lay’s chips as a signature ingredient across menu items and offers the tortilla by the slice (pincho), sandwich, or whole tortilla, with customizable toppings such as Mallorquina (spicy sausage, brie, honey) and Marinera (anchovies and Lay’s).
This strategic maneuver ensures that the parent company maintains its 100% ownership of the retail arm while providing the necessary liquidity to fuel aggressive expansion in the organized food service and hospitality sectors.
