By adding a specialized bakery arm to its portfolio, LSDH is evolving into a multi-category food powerhouse.

Under the new structure, Alessandro Nervegna, previously Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer, will be appointed CEO of Ferrero Core while Lapo Civiletti, the current CEO, will continue with the company as Vice President, Ferrero International S.A., and will assume the newly created role of President of Ferrero Ice Cream and WK Kellogg Co.

The company says both loaves are made with a house crafted gluten free sourdough starter and incorporate sprouted ancient grains to enhance flavor and texture, positioning the products as a bridge between artisanal sourdough taste and mainstream, gluten free convenience.

The launch reinforces Puratos’ commitment to education, workforce development, and long-term industry sustainability in professional baking and pastry arts.

The move is part of Flowers Foods’ strategy to integrate and scale Simple Mills within its broader portfolio while preserving the brand’s mission-driven identity.
