Brenntag opens new food innovation centre in UK
The Leeds centre is designed to support food and beverage manufacturers with cutting-edge research, formulation guidance, and prototype development.
UK – Brenntag Specialties, a global leader in chemical and ingredient distribution, has officially opened its new Innovation & Application Center for Food & Nutrition in Leeds, United Kingdom.
The facility, launched on October 17, 2025, marks a strategic expansion of Brenntag’s global network, becoming the 71st Innovation & Application Center worldwide, the 31st dedicated to Food & Nutrition.
The Leeds centre is designed to support food and beverage manufacturers with cutting-edge research, formulation guidance, and prototype development.
It will serve as a hub for collaboration between Brenntag’s technical experts, suppliers, and customers, offering tailored solutions across a wide range of food applications.
Services include ingredient selection, customized formulation support, stability studies, and sensory evaluations.

The facility complements Brenntag’s existing Personal Care Center in Leeds and adds to its 13 Food & Nutrition Centers across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region.

The centre is equipped with advanced technologies and staffed by a team of food scientists and application specialists focused on delivering high-performance, sustainable solutions.
