Azim Group, Bühler Group sign agreement for fourth pasta line investment
The signing ceremony took place during IPACK-IMA 2025 in Milan, Italy.
TURKEY – Bühler Group, a leading technology provider in the food industry, has signed a new agreement with Azim Group Holding for the construction of a fourth pasta production line.
The contract was signed by Orhan İlhan, Chairman of Azim Group Holding; Muhammed İlhan, Board Member of Azim Group; Christoph Vogel, Head of the Business Unit for Human Nutrition at Bühler Group; and Fırat Sağlam, Country Manager for Bühler in Türkiye.
With this new investment, Azim Group Holding’s total pasta production capacity will increase to 14 tons per hour. The company aims to produce premium-quality pasta using high-quality raw materials sourced from the Mardin–Mesopotamia region.
This strategic partnership further solidifies Bühler’s presence in Türkiye and reinforces its global leadership in the pasta industry. Bühler continues to add value to the sector by combining advanced technological solutions with comprehensive customer service.
Bühler Group expressed its gratitude to Azim Group Holding for their continued trust and partnership, highlighting a shared vision of shaping the future of pasta production together.
In November 2024, Azim Group Holding laid the foundation for this pasta factory in the Mardin Organized Industrial Zone, which it projected to have a daily production capacity of 360 tons, significantly boosting the country’s pasta output.
The factory, covering an area of 20,000 square meters, was designed to produce over 130,000 tons of pasta annually.
Chairman Orhan İlhan emphasized that the facility will utilize world-class automation and advanced technology systems to enhance production speed and efficiency.
The groundbreaking for Azim Group Holding’s Akhan Pasta Factory coincided with the inauguration of the Azim Lidaş Storage Facilities. Expressing his satisfaction, Chairman İlhan highlighted their commitment to contributing to the national economy through the launch of both projects in the historic city of Mardin.
