Zeki Demirtaşoğlu will work alongside the newly appointed board members in the upcoming term.
TURKEY – The Association of Milling and Sector Machinery Manufacturers (DESMÜD) unanimously re-elected the current Chairman, Zeki Demirtaşoğlu back into office, reaffirming the members’ confidence in his leadership.
This took place during DESMÜD’s Ordinary General Assembly Meeting in Konya, Turkey. This gathering brought together representatives from across the industry.
At the general assembly, the activity reports and financial statements of the association were reviewed in detail.
The elections held during the meeting also determined the new term’s executive, audit, and ethics committees.
In his thank-you speech, Zeki Demirtaşoğlu stated, “We will continue to work in unity and solidarity to build a stronger future for our industry.”
The meeting concluded with members exchanging ideas and discussing objectives for the new term.
In the coming period, DESMÜD aims to strengthen sectoral solidarity, promote the exchange of knowledge and experience among its members, and enhance the global competitiveness of domestic manufacturers.
Other members elected include Nazmi Yıldız, Ali Dost, Mustafa Sarıca, Mustafa Özdemir, Mustafa Barlık, Görkem Alapala, Cihangir Fikri Saatçioğlu, and Sedat Kunduracı, who comprise the Executive Board (Principal Members). The Audit Board (Principal Members) includes Salim Alaybeyi, Sinem Kaya Mat, and Hasan Tarhan.
The new management is committed to increasing cooperation in the sector and ensuring that domestic manufacturers have a more substantial presence in global markets.
DESMÜD is recognized as one of the most powerful civil society organizations in Türkiye focusing on mill and sector machinery.
The association unites sector manufacturers, encourages information sharing, contributes to the development of sectoral legislation, and organizes various promotional events, training sessions, and fairs to help its members become more competitive in both domestic and international markets.
Known for supporting domestic production, accelerating technological transformation, and promoting sustainable production, DESMÜD will continue to be the voice of the sector and contribute to the national economy in the new management period.
In February, DESMÜD unveiled an ambitious plan to establish a US$5 million Grain and Grain Products Innovation Centre in Ankara’s Sincan district.
This state-of-the-art facility aims to position Türkiye as a global leader in grain and food technologies, fostering innovation, training, and research and development (R&D) in the industry.
