Alapala secures second turnkey flour mill contract with Jordan’s Shams Grain

The project will double Shams Grain’s overall production capacity to 300 TPD.

JORDAN – Alapala Holding, a prominent global provider of grain milling technology, has announced the signing of a second 150 tons per day (TPD) turnkey flour mill project with Shams Grain in Jordan.

This development follows the successful commissioning of their initial collaboration, underscoring a continued partnership focused on enhancing production efficiency and market competitiveness.

Equipped with Alapala’s advanced machinery, including high-efficiency milling systems and automated controls, the project will double Shams Grain’s overall production capacity to 300 TPD.

This expansion aligns with Jordan’s growing demand for high-quality flour products, driven by population growth and export opportunities in the region.

Mr. Görkem Alapala, CEO of Alapala Holding, expressed satisfaction with the renewed collaboration: “We are very pleased to expand our cooperation with Shams Grain. Customer satisfaction remains our most powerful reference, and this new project once again highlights Alapala’s commitment to quality, reliability, and innovation.”

Shams Grain, a key player in Jordan’s agro-industrial landscape, has demonstrated confidence in Alapala’s solutions based on the performance of the first mill.

The initial 150 TPD installation, completed earlier, has operated effectively, meeting production targets and quality standards. This repeat engagement reflects Alapala’s reputation for delivering sustainable, turnkey solutions tailored to client needs.

Established in Turkey, Alapala Holding has over 1,000 reference plants in more than 120 countries. The company continues to lead in the provision of integrated systems for flour, feed, and pasta processing plants worldwide, with a strong emphasis on energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.

This year, the company has executed numerous projects across continents contributing to global food security through innovative milling technologies.

In January, Alapala completed a 150 TPD flour mill for Harinas Especializados in Panama, marking the third operational mill in the country and incorporating cutting-edge automation for regional benchmarking.

In June, Alapala strengthened its North African footprint by finalizing two projects for the FORAFRIC Group in Morocco, enhancing local milling capabilities. August saw the commissioning of a 750 TPD maize milling facility for Rei de Ouro in Brazil, expanding Alapala’s presence in South America.

October brought further accomplishments, including a 200 TPD flour mill in Mozambique to support food security, a 650 TPD turnkey milling and semolina project in Türkiye, and the 14th flour mill project in Mongolia, a 250 TPD facility for Mill House LLC.

These initiatives illustrate Alapala’s strategic focus on diverse markets and technological advancement, with a portfolio that includes over 20 turnkey projects in recent years across multiple countries.
