The deal, which was first agreed in August 2025 and cleared by the UK Competition and Markets Authority in June 2026, brings together well known packaged bread brands including Hovis and Kingsmill under a single UK bakery platform that ABF says will focus on revitalizing brands.

The systems are engineered to load multiple trays of unbaked product onto corresponding oven decks quickly and safely, then unload them after baking, removing strenuous, repetitive tasks from bakery staff and reducing the risk of workplace injuries.

Viney succeeds Massimo D’Ambrosio, who has moved to a new role within Ferrero Group in the United States.

The new range is derived from natural sources and is intended for use across categories such as beverages, confectionery, dairy products, desserts, bakery items, and plant-based foods.

Mr. Carter assumes the role from Luis Viso, who joined The Marzetti Company as Chief Supply Chain Officer in 2023 and will retire later this year.
