Nestlé expands regenerative agriculture campaign with global partnerships

These partnerships contribute to a sustainable, long‑term approach to agriculture that strengthens the stability of Nestlé‘s business and supports farmer livelihoods

SWITZERLAND – Nestlé has expanded its regenerative agriculture campaign through two major global collaborations announced on January 28, 2026, to scale sustainable farming and empower young farmers.

Partnering with The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and Goodwall, the initiatives aim to accelerate the transition to regenerative practices across its supply chain while building a pipeline of next generation agripreneurs.

The TNC collaboration focuses on co-developing the Nestlé Agriculture Framework, a comprehensive plan to help farmers improve crop yields, reduce environmental impact, and enhance resilience against climate change.

This builds on Nestlé’s ongoing efforts, where it has already surpassed its 2025 target of sourcing 20% of ingredients regeneratively, reaching 21.3% in 2024, with a goal of 50% by 2030.

Practices promoted include soil health restoration, biodiversity enhancement, water conservation, and reduced emissions in key crops like coffee, cocoa, and dairy.

Complementing this, the Goodwall partnership targets youth engagement by providing digital platforms for training, mentorship, and networking in regenerative farming.

Nestlé COO Stephanie Hart stated, Regenerative agriculture is essential to the long-term resilience of our business and the global food system,” emphasizing the need for science-based solutions for farmers worldwide.

TNC CEO Jennifer Morris highlighted the shared commitment to resilient food systems, practical solutions, and stronger farmer livelihoods.

“We are delighted to continue collaborating with Nestlé, a company that shares our commitment for a more resilient food system. Together, we can scale practical, science-based solutions that restore ecosystems, protect biodiversity, and strengthen farmer livelihoods,” noted Morris.

The expanded campaign emphasizes three operational pillars: technical assistance and trainingfinancial risk mitigation, and market incentives for farmers who adopt regenerative practices.

Nestlé says it will combine on‑farm advisory services, digital tools and blended finance mechanisms to lower barriers to adoption and to measure outcomes such as soil carbon, water retention and biodiversity indicators.

The company also plans to work with landscape partners to align sourcing strategies across catchments, recognizing that regenerative outcomes often require coordinated action beyond individual farms.

These expansions follow Nestlé’s CHF 1.2 billion investment over five years in regenerative initiatives, including R&D for high-yield varieties and agronomist training.

The company also collaborates with the World Farmers’ Organisation on policy advocacy for climate adaptation.

By refining benchmarks and incentivizing adoption, Nestlé seeks to make regenerative agriculture the industry norm, fostering sustainable food systems amid growing demands for eco-friendly sourcing.

This move positions Nestlé as a leader in sustainability, benefiting ecosystems, communities, and its global operations spanning coffee in Brazil to dairy in Europe
