Mars honored one of Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work for 2026

The Glassdoor Best Places to Work 2026 certification ranks Mars number one on the inaugural Manufacturing and Energy list and number six on the overall US Best Places to Work list, based on anonymous employee feedback.

USA – Mars has been recognized by Glassdoor in its 2026 Employees’ Choice Awards, earning the top spot on the new Best Places to Work in Manufacturing and Energy list and placing sixth on Glassdoor’s overall 2026 Best Places to Work ranking.

The awards are determined solely by voluntary, anonymous reviews submitted by employees on Glassdoor, reflecting workplace sentiment on culture, leadership, compensation and career opportunities. Mars’ dual recognition underscores strong employee engagement across its global food, petcare and confectionery businesses.

These honours from Glassdoor’s 18th annual Employees’ Choice Awards are based on voluntary, anonymous employee reviews that evaluate factors such as leadership, career opportunities, compensation, culture, and work-life balance across thousands of US employers.

The company said the accolades reflect ongoing investments in people‑centred policies, including development programmes, wellbeing initiatives and efforts to foster inclusive workplaces.

Mars highlighted its portfolio of well‑known brands, from M&M’S and Pringles to PEDIGREE and Royal Canin, as part of an employee value proposition that combines global scale with local career pathways.

The family-owned company, headquartered in McLean, Virginia, employs over 170,000 associates worldwide, with a strong US footprint, where 94% of products sold domestically are manufactured locally.

Rebecca Snow, Vice President of People & Organization at Mars, attributed the rankings to a people-first culture: “A company is only as strong as the people behind the work. The world-class talent we have at Mars, coupled with our Associates’ shared commitment to delivering high-quality products and services for our consumers, is what makes working at Mars so special.”

This recognition builds on Mars’ Five Principles, Quality, Responsibility, Mutuality, Efficiency, and Freedom, driving purpose-led impact for people, pets, and the planet, from factory floors to veterinary clinics like Banfield and VCA.

Recent US investments underscoring this include the US$2 billion manufacturing commitment through 2026, following US$6 billion over the prior five years, which have enhanced local production and job growth.

Anton Vincent, President of Mars Snacking North America and Global Ice Cream, highlighted empowerment: “We’re proud of our people-first environment where Associates shape their futures, learn, grow, and build meaningful careers.”

In a competitive talent market, Mars outperforms peers, with prior Glassdoor nods like Best-Led Company 2025 reflecting consistent senior leadership excellence.

The awards align with Great Place to Work certifications, where 84% of Mars employees affirm it’s a great workplace, fueling retention amid hybrid models and economic pressures.

Glassdoor’s methodology, powered by millions of reviews, positions Mars among the top firms in tech and finance, validating its decentralized approach across snacks, pet nutrition, and diagnostics via Antech.

As consumer demands evolve toward sustainable, premium goods, Mars leverages this prestige to attract innovators, reinforcing its US$65 billion valuation and century-old legacy.
