Kazakhstan to host Kazakh Grain & Logistic Forum 2026 in Almaty

The two-day event, organised by APK Inform Asia and RDL Group, is expected to bring together global grain traders, logistics specialists, processors, financiers and agribusiness leaders.

KAZAKHSTAN – Kazakhstan will host the Kazakh Grain & Logistic Forum 2026 on 3–4 February 2026 in Almaty, positioning the country at the centre of regional discussions on grain markets, processing and export logistics ahead of the 2025/26 marketing season.

The two-day event, organised by APK Inform Asia and RDL Group, is expected to bring together more than 200 participants, including global grain traders, logistics specialists, processors, financiers and agribusiness leaders.

The forum comes at a time when Central Asia’s role in global grain supply chains is gaining attention, driven by shifting trade flows, infrastructure investments and the need for more efficient export corridors.

Kazakhstan, one of the world’s key wheat exporters, continues to invest in both upstream grain production and downstream logistics to maintain competitiveness across traditional and emerging markets.

The first day of the conference will focus on grain markets and value addition. Sessions will address macroeconomic forecasts for cereals, oilseeds and pulses, alongside market dynamics influencing regional and global trade.

According to the organizers, particular attention will be given to investment trends in grain handling and processing, as well as opportunities in deep grain processing.

Quality standards and export requirements will also be discussed, issues that remain critical for flour millers, feed manufacturers and exporters seeking to meet the demands of diverse destination markets.

For grain processors and feed producers, the discussions are expected to provide practical insights into navigating price volatility, quality compliance and shifting demand patterns during the 2025/26 season.

The agenda reflects growing interest in moving beyond bulk exports towards higher value products, supported by modern processing capacity and stable logistics links.

Day two will shift the focus to logistics, transit routes and supply chain optimisation. Sessions will examine the development of regional corridors, including routes through the Caspian region and the Middle Corridor, which are increasingly seen as strategic alternatives for connecting Central Asia with Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Topics will include containerisation, tariff policy, digital logistics solutions and the role of key hubs such as Aktau, Kuryk and Alyat in improving export efficiency and reducing transit times.

A dedicated panel, titled “Agricultural Logistics in Kazakhstan: From Field to Port”, will bring together transport, port and freight experts to discuss persistent bottlenecks in grain movement and practical measures to address them.

The panel is expected to explore coordination between rail, port and shipping operators, as well as the impact of regulatory frameworks on cost and reliability.

The logistics sessions will feature speakers from across the region and Europe, including representatives of port operators, rail associations, intermodal logistics companies and freight forwarders.

Participants include executives from Aktau Marine North Terminal, NurZholCompany, the Association of Kazakhstan Freight Rail Carriers, Hupac Intermodal S.A., duisport – Duisburger Hafen AG, and logistics firms operating across Kazakhstan, the Caspian region and the South Caucasus.

Beyond the formal agenda, the forum is expected to provide extensive networking opportunities for grain traders, logistics providers and investors looking to strengthen partnerships and assess new routes and infrastructure projects.
