Eshbal expands its gluten-free portfolio with four new products

The products are being distributed under the company’s well-established Caragil and BARILI brands.

ISRAEL – Eshbal Functional Food Inc., a Vancouver-based company with strong operations in Israel, has announced the launch of four new gluten-free products designed to meet rising consumer demand for better-for-you foods.

The products are distributed under the company’s well-established Caragil and BARILI brands, both known for their focus on functional, health-conscious food solutions.

The new lineup includes: Caragil gluten-free instant cream powders in vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry flavors, Caragil crumble-style topping blends, ideal for desserts and baking, BARILI gluten-free crackers, and BARILI Gluten-Free Za’atar Crackers.

These additions reflect Eshbal’s strategy of diversifying its portfolio while maintaining its commitment to quality and nutrition.

The products were developed at Eshbal’s 60,000-square-foot facility in Israel, which is designed for commercial-scale production using proprietary formulations.

The company emphasizes that its controlled production process ensures consistent quality and authentic flavor, a key differentiator in the competitive gluten-free market.

CEO Yiftach Keren highlighted that the launches are a direct response to consumer feedback, noting that gluten-free solutions are no longer niche but represent a mainstream demand.

“Our launches in Israel reflect what we feel is a genuine consumer need for gluten-free solutions and showcase our ability to translate market feedback into products with real value,” he said.

The global gluten-free market has been expanding rapidly, driven by health-conscious consumers and those with celiac disease or gluten sensitivities.

In Israel, demand for gluten-free products has grown steadily, creating opportunities for companies like Eshbal to strengthen their presence.

By leveraging its 80-year tradition of producing better-for-you foods, Eshbal is positioning itself as a leader in functional food innovation.

The company’s brands already enjoy strong recognition, and the new products are expected to reinforce its market share.

Eshbal’s flagship gluten-free pita bread leads the charge into the US, backed by a majority stake in NYC’s Dare to be Different Foods for 500+ store distribution. Local production starts Q1 2026, enhancing supply chains.

Industry analysts suggest that Eshbal’s expansion could pave the way for further international growth, particularly as gluten-free products gain traction in North America and Europe.

For now, the company is focused on consolidating its leadership in Israel, where the new launches are already reaching consumers through retail channels.

With this rollout, Eshbal continues to strengthen its reputation as a pioneer in gluten-free and functional foods, offering products that combine taste, nutrition, and innovation.
