Advanced grain sorting solution to support quality and efficiency in barley production.

SWEDEN – Precision grain sorting company, BoMill, has received a US$320,000 order from a leading North American malting group for its InSight grain sorting system.
The BoMill InSight solution sorts barley kernel by kernel, using internal properties to identify and separate grains according to quality.
The technology allows the malting group to improve the use of locally grown barley while boosting production efficiency and sustainability.
“We are excited about this new collaboration with a leading player in the malting business,” said Andreas Jepsson, chief executive officer of BoMill AB. “This agreement also marks the first installation of BoMill InSight in the United States.”
BoMill’s partner in the region, Bratney, will support the project. The company’s CEO, Peter Bratney, added, “We enjoy a long-standing partnership with BoMill as their exclusive distributor in the US. It is fantastic to see this agreement come to life. We look forward to working closely with both BoMill and the malting group on this project.”
The order covers the supply and installation of BoMill InSight and is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2026.
Part of the order is already in Bratney’s stock and was recognized as BoMill revenue in 2025. The remaining components will be delivered later this year, with full payment anticipated in 2026.
The installation in the United States represents a strategic step for BoMill, expanding the reach of InSight technology beyond Europe. Analysts note that the North American barley sector continues to seek technologies that ensure consistent grain quality while minimizing waste and environmental impact.
In addition to this order, BoMill recently secured other international deals for InSight, including installations across Europe and Asia. The company says these agreements reflect growing interest in advanced sorting solutions for both malting and feed applications.
“Our InSight system provides precise data on every kernel, allowing producers to optimize the entire supply chain,” Jepsson said. “We continue to see strong demand as grain quality remains a top priority for customers worldwide.”
BoMill expects that ongoing projects will strengthen its presence in North America and support future expansion into other markets with similar quality requirements.
