The new frozen products are the first ready-to-bake croissants introduced under the Grands! platform and are joining Pillsbury’s permanent product lineup.

USA – General Mills has completed the sale of its business in Brazil to 3corações, while separately expanding its Pillsbury portfolio by introducing frozen Grands! Croissants in Butter and Chocolate varieties.
The completed transaction transfers General Mills’ Brazilian operations to 3corações, including popular local brands Yoki and Kitano and supply-chain facilities in Pouso Alegre and Campo Novo do Parecis.
The divestiture, first announced as a definitive agreement in March 2026, was subject to specified deductions and customary post-closing adjustments, following the receipt of required regulatory approvals.
The divestment forms part of a broader effort by the Minneapolis-based food company to reshape its business portfolio.
General Mills said it has changed approximately one-third of its net sales base through acquisitions and divestitures since fiscal 2018.
The new product launch marks the brand’s first foray into frozen, ready-to-bake croissant dough for retail consumers, promising to deliver fresh, warm, bakery-inspired pastries directly from the home oven without the traditional hassle of rolling, proofing, or thawing.
Crafted to meet growing consumer demand for high-quality, convenient home-baking experiences, each croissant features 48 delicate layers designed to achieve a light, flaky texture.
The Butter Grands! Croissants are crafted with real butter to offer a rich, authentic flavor profile. Meanwhile, the Chocolate Grands! Croissants feature a sweet filling made with real cocoa, catering to shoppers looking for an elevated breakfast or dessert option.
Both varieties transition seamlessly from the freezer to the oven on a standard baking sheet, fully baking in less than 30 minutes.
According to General Mills leadership, the product addition aims to address the common friction points of homemade croissant preparation, where traditional lamination and dough-folding processes can take hours.
By offering pre-shaped frozen options, the company gives consumers the flexibility to bake a single item for a quick snack or prepare an entire batch for weekend family brunches.
Each retail bag contains eight individually frozen, large-format pastries.
The introduction of the Grands! Croissants represents a permanent expansion of Pillsbury’s frozen baked goods portfolio.
As packaged food manufacturers continue vying for dominance in the frozen breakfast segment, General Mills is leveraging its recognizable household brand to capture a larger market share of shoppers seeking premium, restaurant-quality baked goods at an accessible price point.
Both varieties have begun rolling out to grocery freezer aisles nationwide.
