Alapala delivers 300 TPD integrated flour milling complex in Mali

Alapala supplied six steel storage silos, each with a capacity of 2,500 tons, creating a total storage volume of 15,000 tons.

MALI – Turkish milling technology supplier Alapala has commissioned a new 300 tons per day (TPD) flour mill in Mali, strengthening its footprint in West Africa as regional demand for locally processed wheat products continues to rise.

The project is designed to deliver high-efficiency production, operational reliability, and long-term sustainability.

As part of the scope, Alapala supplied six steel storage silos, each with a capacity of 2,500 tons, creating a total storage volume of 15,000 tons.

The integrated storage system enhances raw material security, stabilizes milling operations, and supports more flexible procurement and inventory management strategies—critical factors in markets exposed to wheat import volatility.

Construction of the facility is being executed by ACCON, Alapala Holding Inc.’s steel construction and EPC subsidiary.

According to Alapala, delivering the project under a single umbrella structure allows tighter coordination between process engineering, steel construction, and equipment installation.

This integrated approach reduces commissioning timelines and mitigates operational risks, particularly in emerging markets where infrastructure constraints can affect project delivery.

The Mali installation follows closely on the commissioning of a 300 TPD flour mill in Cameroon, further consolidating Alapala’s presence in Francophone Africa.

The Cameroon project demonstrates similar design principles, with optimized process flow, automated control systems, and energy-efficient roller milling technology tailored to local wheat blends and market requirements.

Alapala has also expanded its strategic partnership with the Marata Group, a key agro-industrial player in West Africa.

The strengthened collaboration focuses on delivering modern milling infrastructure and enhancing local grain processing ecosystems.

Such partnerships allow technology providers and regional investors to align long-term supply chain planning, financing structures, and technical support services.

Beyond capacity expansion, Alapala is broadening its technology offering. The company recently entered into a partnership with Anton Paar, a global provider of laboratory and analytical instrumentation.

The collaboration enables Alapala to integrate advanced testing solutions for flour, semolina, and grain quality into its milling projects.

For millers, laboratory precision is increasingly linked to profitability. Accurate rheological, moisture, and protein analysis supports better wheat blending strategies, optimized extraction rates, and consistent flour performance for industrial bakeries.

By aligning process engineering with advanced analytical systems, Alapala is responding to growing demand for data-driven milling operations across Africa and the Middle East.
