USA – Ag Growth International (AGI) has announced a major safety achievement at two of its U.S. manufacturing facilities, with its Falls City and Omaha locations in Nebraska reaching an impressive three-year record of zero lost time incidents (LTIs).
This milestone underscores AGI’s commitment to operational safety and the dedication of its workforce in upholding rigorous health and safety standards.
A lost time incident refers to a non-fatal injury that results in an employee being unable to work, serving as a key benchmark in evaluating a company’s safety performance and its impact on productivity. The sustained LTI-free period at both facilities is not only a testament to safe operational practices but also to a deeply embedded safety culture among AGI staff.
At the Falls City plant, General Manager Kelly Ireland attributed the achievement to the workforce’s strong sense of accountability and mutual responsibility.
“From the production floor to the office, this team is one of the most exceptional groups I’ve had the privilege to work with,” said Ireland.
“Their loyalty, hard work, and dedication to safety are unmatched. They take ownership of best practices for their own safety and the well-being of their co-workers.”
AGI’s Falls City facility, which was acquired in 2008 and currently employs 65 people, specializes in engineered-to-order aeration and dust collection systems under the AGI Airlanco brand.
These products, such as centrifugal and axial fans, ducting, and sheet metal aeration solutions, help agricultural and industrial clients comply with stringent clean air regulations set by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
In Omaha, Plant Manager Abdallah Alkhaleel also praised his team’s vigilance and discipline.
“This achievement speaks volumes about their professionalism and safety culture,” Alkhaleel said.
“Safety is a repeatable and embedded practice here, and everyone knows that our goals are zero recordable incidents and lost time injuries. I am incredibly proud of our team and the example they set for the industry, “he added.
AGI acquired the Omaha facility in 2017, although the plant has been operational since 1959. It boasts over 120,000 square feet of manufacturing space and employs 51 people.
The facility produces mixed-flow grain dryers, an advanced screen-free technology, primarily serving clients across North America, Europe, and Mexico. In 2014, it celebrated the production of its 1,000th grain dryer, reflecting a longstanding role in regional economic development and agricultural innovation.
