SANY Nutrition Group opens US$30M food manufacturing facility in North America
The opening aligns with surging consumer demand across North American retail channels for convenient, high-protein snacks and specialized nutrition products with clean-label credentials.
USA – SANY Nutrition Group has officially opened a new food manufacturing facility in Jonesboro, Arkansas, marking a major expansion of its production footprint in North America.
The protein snack manufacturer invested over US$30 million to acquire and retrofit a former processing plant on East Highland Drive, which had sat vacant since early 2025.
Operations at the updated site have already commenced, with the company projecting the creation of more than 150 new jobs over the next three years.
The Jonesboro operation is designed around six distinct manufacturing pillars, equipping the site to produce high-protein, low-sugar, and plant-based items.
Product capabilities span sports nutrition bars, functional baked goods, frozen snacks, and specialized pet treats for both private label and direct-to-consumer brand portfolios.
The company’s product capabilities span six major categories, including better-for-you snacks, sports nutrition, comfort and indulgent snacks, frozen plant-based products, bakery and pastries, and pet nutrition.
Its portfolio includes high-protein and reduced-sugar products, functional snacks, performance bars and bites, plant-based foods, filled pastries and functional pet treats.
The facility can also manufacture food ingredients, inclusions, fillings, coatings, bases and semi-finished products for food manufacturers, retailers, foodservice companies and brand partners.
SANY Nutrition Group said Jonesboro was selected because of its business environment, supply-chain infrastructure, skilled workforce and strong agricultural base.
The investment also reinforces the city’s position as a growing food manufacturing hub in Northeast Arkansas.
Company leadership cited the region’s agricultural infrastructure, robust supply chain links, and skilled labor force as primary factors driving the decision to locate the project in Craighead County.
State and local leadership welcomed the investment, framing it as a vital addition to Northeast Arkansas’s expanding food processing corridor.
Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders noted that the state’s favorable regulatory environment, low cost of living, and deep agricultural roots continue to attract major food producers.
Economic development officials highlighted that reusing existing industrial infrastructure accelerated project timelines while providing immediate economic benefits to the local workforce.
The arrival of SANY Nutrition Group further strengthens Jonesboro’s reputation as a key manufacturing hub, adding to recent capital investments from other food processing firms across the state.
By combining rapid product development with advanced European-American manufacturing technologies, the facility aims to accelerate time-to-market for shelf-ready nutritious snacks and meet growing consumer demand across North American retail channels.
