The investment plan is structured in two phases, each targeting key areas of production and innovation.

The new line will focus on producing premium, high-quality breads that reflect the growing consumer appetite for variety, health-conscious options, and elevated in-store bakery experiences.

A key feature of the expansion is the rail-based unloading capability, allowing The Andersons to unload unit trains of soybean meal directly at the export point via railroads such as BNSF Railway and Union Pacific Railroad.

The new headquarters will be a hub for coordinating these advanced production and development efforts.

The expansion will grow the Frederick workforce to more than 200 employees by 2027.
