REXUS Int. launches Middle East office, appoints Daniel Wiebe to strengthen regional support

The company supplies enzyme preparations, enzyme complexes, flour improvers, colour solutions, and micronutrient premixes used in bread, pasta, biscuits, wafers, and other cereal-based products.

EGYPT – REXUS International GmbH, a Germany-based supplier of enzyme technologies and flour treatment solutions for the milling and baking industries, has opened a new regional headquarters in the Middle East, marking a further expansion of its international footprint.

The new office, operating under the name REXUS Middle East, is located in Egypt and is intended to enhance customer proximity, technical service delivery, and market responsiveness across North Africa and the wider Middle East.

Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Hamburg, REXUS International focuses on enzyme-based solutions for flour standardisation, baking performance improvement, and flour fortification.

The company supplies enzyme preparations, enzyme complexes, flour improvers, colour solutions, and micronutrient premixes used in bread, pasta, biscuits, wafers, and other cereal-based products.

Its technologies are designed to help millers manage natural variability in wheat quality and achieve consistent end-product performance.

The Middle East and North Africa region represents one of the world’s most significant grain processing and flour consumption markets, driven by large populations, strong demand for bread and bakery staples, and ongoing investments in milling capacity.

By establishing a physical presence in Egypt, REXUS International aims to provide on-site technical support, faster response times, and closer collaboration with flour millers, industrial bakeries, and food processors.

According to company information, the new regional headquarters will support customers with application trials, enzyme and flour improver optimisation, and technical consulting tailored to local wheat qualities and processing conditions.

Egypt, as one of the largest wheat importers globally and a major flour producer, provides a strategic base for serving both domestic customers and neighbouring markets.

Daniel Wiebe appointed to lead REXUS Middle East operations

Alongside the opening of the new regional office, REXUS International has appointed its Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Daniel Wiebe, to an additional role as Founder & CEO of REXUS Middle East.

The appointment reflects the company’s intent to place senior leadership directly within the region during the initial phase of expansion.

Wiebe has built REXUS International around his background in enzyme technologies and flour treatment, with a focus on practical, market-driven solutions for millers and bakers.

Announcing the development on LinkedIn, Wiebe stated: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new additional position as Founder & CEO of the newly launched regional headquarters REXUS Middle East to be closer to our valued customers and serve them efficiently on-site with trusted products and innovative know-how, and to build a steady bridge between Europe and the Middle East.”

His direct involvement in the Middle East operation is expected to support knowledge transfer, strengthen customer relationships, and align regional market needs with the company’s European research, development, and production capabilities.

He added that customers would be supported either from the new branch in Egypt or from the company’s main headquarters in Germany.
