Nutreco appoints Eduardo Lopes Alberto as Innovation Director at Trouw Nutrition

NETHERLANDS – Nutreco, a Dutch animal nutrition and fish feed company has appointed Eduardo Lopes Alberto as VP of Innovation and Research for Trouw Nutrition, effective January 2024.

Trouw Nutrition is Nutreco’s livestock feed business line and a global leader in the feed, farm, and health aspects of producing quality meat, eggs, and milk.

In this role, Eduardo will be responsible for Global Innovation at Trouw Nutrition, with primary responsibility for ensuring the development and delivery of the global innovation agenda and stewarding the innovation investment.

Eduardo will report to David Blakemore, CEO of Trouw Nutrition.

Eduardo brings over 20 years of extensive experience in industry experience and innovation leadership from renowned multinationals.

Before joining Nutreco, Eduardo spent seven years at dsm-firmenich as Vice President – North America and most recently as their Vice President Global Innovation, Animal Nutrition, and Health, where he focused on driving strategic investments and successful launches of innovative technologies and services worldwide.

Before joining DSM, Eduardo spent 16 years at Elanco Animal Health, with diverse global roles in marketing, sales, and R&D, and managing business operations in the USA, Asia, and Latin America.

Eduardo is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, holds an MBA from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and a specialized Postgraduate in Marketing from Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (ESPM), Brazil. He also completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Commenting, Blakemore,  Trouw Nutrition’s CEO expressed delight,  highlighting  Eduardo’s competence for the position.

Last month,  Nutreco announced the appointment of Noel Kim as the Managing Director for Nutreco Asia, as a strategic move to reinforce Nutreco’s presence and drive growth in the dynamic Asian market.
