Already a leader in Brazil‘s jam segment through its Queensberry and Hero brands, the group now enters the competitive snack arena with a local favorite positioned for growth.

BRAZIL – The Hero Group, a Swiss-based global food company, has announced the acquisition of Brazilian snack manufacturer Super Saude Nutricional through its local subsidiary, Hero Brazil.
The transaction, finalized on September 1, 2025, includes a majority stake in the company, marking a strategic expansion into South America’s fast-growing snack market.
Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Campo Largo, Paraná, Super Saude Nutricional boasts a diverse portfolio of 36 products under the Pinati brand.
These include protein bars, nut-based snacks, chips, and healthier sweet treats, positioning the brand squarely within the growing trend of better-for-you snacking that continues to gain traction globally.
Hero Group CEO Christian Schierbaum emphasized the cultural and strategic alignment between the two companies.
“We believe that Pinati is a perfect match, not only in terms of portfolio, but also in terms of culture, way of working, and company values,” said Christian Schierbaum, CEO Hero Group.
The acquisition supports Hero’s broader ambition to deepen its footprint in regions with high snack consumption and diversify beyond its traditional fruit spreads and jams.
Cristiano de Moraes, CEO of Hero Brazil, noted the acquisition as a strategic step to diversify and strengthen its product offerings in Brazil.
“From this acquisition, we will be present in a new business front that grows every year, in full line with the global strategy of the Hero group. It is, therefore, an important step for us to expand our presence and competitiveness in the national market,” said the CEO of Hero Brasil, Cristiano de Moraes.
Super Saude’s founder, Waldemiro Pinati, will remain onboard as CEO and minority shareholder, ensuring continuity and leveraging his deep market expertise.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
This acquisition follows Hero Group’s recent purchase of the UK-based wellness brand Deliciously Ella and the expansion of its flagship snack brand, Corny, across Europe.
With this latest move, Hero reinforces its commitment to expanding in emerging snack markets, benefiting from Super Saude’s established product range and regional market reach, which positions the group well for continued category growth in Brazil.
Already a leader in Brazil’s jam segment through its Queensberry and Hero brands, the group now enters the competitive snack arena with a local favorite positioned for growth.
As consumer demand for nutritious, convenient snacks continues to rise, Hero’s investment in Pinati signals confidence in Brazil’s evolving food landscape and its own ability to shape it.
