The Pan-African Food and Agro-Giant, FMN, has maintained a proven record of commitment to fostering food self-sufficiency in Nigeria.

NIGERIA – Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc (FMN) has reinforced its international market strategy through a renewed partnership with the French Government at the 2026 edition of the Salon International de l’Agriculture (SIA), also known as the Paris International Agricultural Show.
The annual exhibition, which opened on February 21 and runs through March 1, 2026, remains one of the most prominent global agricultural trade platforms.
As one of Africa’s largest food and agro-allied groups, FMN operates across flour milling, pasta, edible oils, animal feeds, sugar, and integrated farming.
Its presence at SIA provides a technical showcase platform to demonstrate processing capacity, supply chain efficiency, and quality standards to international buyers.
In 2025, the show recorded 607,503 visitors, hosted nearly 4,000 animals, and featured more than 1,000 exhibitors, underscoring its importance as a marketplace for technical exchange, policy dialogue, and cross-border investment.
FMN is participating as a second-time sponsor and partner following its debut in 2024. The company’s continued engagement reflects a deliberate strategy to expand market access for Nigerian-made products while strengthening bilateral trade channels between Nigeria and France.
Strengthening bilateral agribusiness links
As a member of the France-Nigeria Business Council (FNBC), FMN has positioned itself within a structured framework that facilitates private-sector collaboration between the two countries.
The 2026 show theme, “Generations Solution,” focuses on structured knowledge transfer between established industry leaders and emerging agricultural innovators, with an emphasis on technology-driven productivity across the global value chain.
Speaking on the strategic value of the relationship, Mr. John G. Coumantaros stated that the France – Nigeria relationship is a valuable partnership built on a shared value agenda that fosters remarkable Intercontinental trade growth.
Also, as an organization with over six decades of transformational footprint in Nigeria and progressively across the African Continent, FMN has been unwaveringly committed to product and process innovation.
“Our continuous partnership with France for the success of the Paris International Agricultural Show further buttresses the thriving relationship between both countries,” he noted.
Nigerian pavilion highlights technical exchange
The Nigerian Pavilion officially opened on February 23, 2026, bringing together leading corporate players including Dangote, BUA, Zenith Bank, Access Bank, and agritech innovators such as Creativo El Matador and Soilless Farm Lab.
Mr. Sadiq Usman, Managing Director, FMN Agro & Director, Strategic Engagement/Stakeholder Relations, emphasized the strategic rationale behind the company’s sponsorship.
“At FMN, our mission is Feeding and Enriching Lives Every Day. This is a mandate we have fulfilled through decades of economic shifts, rooted in a culture of deep resilience and constant innovation,” he said.
According to him, FMN supports the pavilion because it recognizes that the next frontier of global Agribusiness lies in high-level technical exchange.
