CANADA – The Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) has named G3 Canada Limited and Bartlett Grain Company as the winners of its 2024-2025, recognizing top performance in safety, efficiency, and railcar loading across North America’s grain supply chain.
The awards, presented annually to one Canadian and one U.S. facility, went to G3’s Colonsay elevator in Saskatchewan and Bartlett’s Jacksonville elevator in Illinois, both celebrated for excellence in grain handling and their contribution to smoother crop movement for the new marketing year.
The two facilities stood out for maintaining high standards in safe operations, optimizing railcar loading processes, and consistently supporting the reliable movement of grain from farms to key end-use markets.
“Receiving this award is a testament to the hard work and dedication shown by these grain facilities,” said Jonathan Wahba, CPKC Senior Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, Intermodal, Automotive and Bulk.
“Their commitment to safety and operational excellence is important to the entire supply chain and agricultural sector.”
G3 wins fourth award in seven years
For G3 Canada Limited, the recognition adds to a growing record of excellence. The company has received CPKC’s Canadian Elevator of the Year multiple times, with its previous win recorded in the 2021-2022 crop year.
The Colonsay facility’s performance this year reinforces G3’s reputation for innovation and efficiency within Canada’s grain handling system.
“Winning CPKC Elevator of the Year for the fourth time in the past seven years is a powerful recognition of G3’s commitment to transforming grain movement in Canada,” said G3 CEO Don Chapman.
He credited both the company’s operational model and staff dedication, noting that “this award reflects the strength of our network, the dedication of our people, and our shared priority with CPKC to operate safely and reliably.”
Bartlett Grain Company earns first-ever recognition
For Bartlett Grain Company, the 2024-2025 win marks its first time receiving CPKC’s U.S. Elevator of the Year.
The Jacksonville, Illinois facility demonstrated significant gains in efficiency and operational excellence, earning high marks for its role in connecting producers with key downstream markets.
“We are honored to have Jacksonville recognized as a CPKC Elevator of the Year,” said Joe Griffith, President, Bartlett Grain Company, LLC.
He extended appreciation to the Jacksonville team, local producers, and CPKC, adding that their strong collaboration “has operated safely and efficiently to connect Jacksonville producers with robust end-user customer markets.”
