The two facilities stood out for maintaining high standards in safe operations, optimizing railcar loading processes, and consistently supporting the reliable movement of grain.
The facility enhances Bartlett’s existing presence in Mexico, which includes a grain facility in San Luis Potosí and a milling operation in Cuautitlán Izcalli, Estado de México.
Under the partnership, the companies will jointly explore new market opportunities in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
The deal was finalized through a wholly owned Bartlett-controlled entity, 1001239530 Ontario Inc., which acquired all issued and outstanding common shares of Ceres Global at US$4.50 per share in cash
The acquisition will increase Bartlett’s grain and oilseed storage capacity to about 45 million bushels.
