CK Snacks acquires Keystone Food Products to expand snack‑food platform

The deal reflects the company’s ongoing strategy to broaden its product portfolio and reinforce its position in the growing private-label snack segment.

USA – Cheeze Kurls, LLC, doing business as CK Snacks, has acquired Keystone Food Products, Inc., a Pennsylvania‑based snack‑food manufacturer and co‑packer, in a deal that broadens CK Snacks’ production footprint and product range across North America.

The transaction brings Keystone’s Easton, Pennsylvania plant into the CK Snacks platform, alongside its existing operations CK Snacks and Axium Foods, creating a multi‑facility, multi‑category snack‑food platform serving major retailers, grocery chains, and branded food companies.

The acquisition is structured to retain Keystone’s workforce and operational base, with CK Snacks integrating shared functions such as sales, finance, procurement, and operations to drive efficiency and growth.

Keystone brings decades of experience in manufacturing masa‑based and cooked corn tortilla chips, baked and fried extruded snacks, die‑cut and random‑shaped pieces, party mixes, pellets, and natural and organic snack lines, areas that complement CK Snacks’ existing portfolio of extruded, fried, and baked snack products.

The addition of Keystone’s state‑of‑the‑art facility in Eastern Pennsylvania strengthens CK Snacks’ geographic reach along the US East Coast while bolstering capacity for both private‑label and branded customers.

In a statement, CK Snacks CEO Jamie Colbourne said the deal “helps build out both our geographic reach and our portfolio of products,” positioning the combined platform as a more flexible, scalable partner for retailers and foodservice operators.

Jamie Colbourne, CEO of CK Snacks, commented: “We are very excited about the addition of Keystone to our snacking platform. This acquisition helps build out both our geographic reach and our portfolio of products, allowing us to better serve our customers and continue our growth trajectory.”

The acquisition is the latest move by CK Snacks, a privately owned company, to consolidate and scale its snack‑food manufacturing capabilities.

With the Keystone integration, CK Snacks now spans three manufacturing sites across complementary US regions, enabling it to allocate production, minimise supply‑chain risks, and respond more quickly to customers’ seasonal or promotional schedules.

Keystone will continue operating from its Easton facility under CK Snacks’ ownership, and management indicated plans to retain existing staff and maintain current production lines while exploring incremental investments to enhance capacity and product innovation.
