The expansion follows the successful commissioning of the Richmond facility, which became fully operational in 2025 and represents a major investment in the region’s grain-processing infrastructure.
The new engines are intended to boost reliability, safety and operational efficiency on CBH’s narrow-gauge lines that move grain from the Wheatbelt to port.
The project is designed to expand the mill’s grain storage volume, improve lot segregation, and enhance blend preparation ahead of milling, thereby strengthening Molini Valente’s ability to produce consistent, high-quality flours for diverse bakery applications.
The expansion is expected to strengthen the company’s ability to supply customers with food-grade soybeans for products such as plant-based beverages while creating additional market opportunities for growers.
The €23 million (US$26.2 million) investment increases the terminal’s grain storage capacity to 180,000 tonnes, enhancing Romania’s ability to handle growing grain volumes from domestic producers as well as transit cargo from neighbouring countries.
