The partnership combines the expertise of two of America’s oldest companies to address a longstanding challenge in home baking: maintaining a healthy, consistent sourdough starter, which is essential for producing amazing homemade sourdough bread.

This strategic move, first announced in February 2025, followed the signing of a definitive agreement between the two companies.

The signing ceremony took place during IPACK-IMA 2025 in Milan, Italy.

This appointment comes after the company recently released its Q1 financial results.

The facility is being built on the site of a former aluminum foundry, which is being repurposed for sustainable agricultural use.
