The groundbreaking ceremony marks the start of a new production hall that will significantly increase output capacity at the Belgian site, which already serves as the company’s primary Biscoff manufacturing hub for Europe.
The acquisition aims to accelerate Biospringer’s growth in the food ingredients market, unlocking new opportunities beyond yeast fermentation.
The facility is designed to deepen material understanding, optimize crop quality, and advance sustainable sourcing right at the origin of production.
The newly launched venue combines a sit-down café offering freshly prepared meals and pastries with a retail section stocked with the bakery’s signature frozen products, biscuits, and pantry essentials, creating a one-stop destination for customers looking to enjoy or recreate traditional Dutch flavours at home.
Primary crops include wheat, corn, and sugar beet aimed at reducing Egypt’s heavy reliance on imported staples, alongside export crops such as olives, figs, and vegetables.
