The inspection changes, introduced following a request from Chinese authorities, require more stringent checks for pests and weeds on soybeans destined for China, according to Cargill and market reports.
Spread over 15 acres, with an annual production capacity of 400,000 metric tons, the new facility will be Cargill’s largest dairy feed plant in South Asia.

If the deal is finalized as expected in March 2026, Pitman Family Farms would then take over Cargill’s local operations.
