Vybey is introducing a protein bar, while Arnott’s is debuting its biscuits in the UK.
SCOTLAND – Scottish nutrition brand Vybey has expanded into the snacking category with the launch of a new range of plant-based protein bars.
The Complete Nutrition bar lineup includes three flavors: Chocolate Brownie, Raspberry White Chocolate, and Mint Chocolate. This new range joins Vybey’s existing products, which feature meal replacement shakes and a nootropic coffee alternative blend.
The protein bars are made with ingredients such as dates, gluten-free oats, almonds, pea protein, coconut powder, and tapioca powder.
Designed to support mental and physical well-being, these nutritional bars combine 20 grams of plant-based protein with healthy fats, gut-friendly fiber, and brain-supporting nutrients aimed at enhancing focus, memory, and overall cognitive health. Each 80-gram bar contains 300 calories.
“Our hard-earned knowledge in vegan, dairy-free, and environmentally friendly ingredients, along with our pioneering approach to the cognitive benefits of nootropics (Braincare range), has prepared us to lead the way in the next generation of ‘nutritionally optimal’ snacking bars. These bars can serve as convenient on-the-go snacks, pre/post-workout fuel, or even as makeshift meals,” said Gordon Belch, Vybey’s co-founder.
He also noted that the lines between indulgent treats and functional foods have blurred like never before, which inspired the bars’ nostalgic flavors.
Australia’s Tim Tam gluten-free biscuits debut in the UK
Meanwhile, Australian biscuit company Arnott’s is launching its Tim Tam gluten-free biscuits in the UK market to provide consumers with gluten intolerance a way to enjoy the signature taste and texture of the beloved Australian treat.
The new gluten-free recipe retains the classic chocolate biscuit format found in the original, making it accessible to the estimated 7 million consumers in the UK who follow a gluten-free diet.
Priced at £3.50 (US$4.52) per 150-gram pack, the product stands out with green branding and a clear gluten-free label to help shoppers easily identify it on store shelves.
“Tim Tam is Australia’s favorite chocolate biscuit, and we have been thrilled by the positive reception it has received in the UK. As we strive to bring a taste of Australia to British consumers, we are excited to introduce our delicious gluten-free Tim Tam, so even more people can indulge in this beloved Aussie icon,” said Talyah Falabella, International Marcomms Manager at Arnott’s
Tim Tam is a brand of chocolate biscuit introduced by Arnott’s in 1964. It consists of two malted biscuits separated by a light hard chocolate cream filling and coated in a thin layer of textured chocolate.
