The latest addition joins the company’s growing lineup at Costco, targeting shoppers seeking convenient breakfast options made with recognizable ingredients instead of the preservatives and additives commonly associated with traditional drive-thru meals.

USA – Mason Dixie Foods, a leading natural frozen comfort food brand known for its clean-label biscuits, breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos and waffles, Maryland, has announced the official launch of its new Chicken Biscuit Sandwich.
Positioned as a clean-label alternative to standard fast-food breakfast orders, the product aims to deliver the familiar convenience and flavor of a drive-thru meal without artificial additives, preservatives, or highly processed ingredients.
The new offering expands the company’s retail footprint as an exclusive addition to select Costco wholesale locations.
Sold in an eight-count box at a suggested retail price of US$15.99, the sandwich features a crispy, antibiotic-free chicken breast patty seasoned with Mason Dixie’s signature house blend of spices, served inside the brand’s classic scratch-made buttermilk biscuit.
Each frozen sandwich provides 11 grams of protein and can be heated and ready to eat in under three minutes, catering to modern demand for high-protein, convenient meal options.
The launch reflects the founding philosophy of Mason Dixie Foods, established by founder and CEO Ayeshah Abuelhiga.
Inspired by her experience growing up in her immigrant parents’ small carry-out restaurant, Abuelhiga initially opened a biscuit restaurant centered on using real, recognizable ingredients like real butter and fresh dairy.
After daily sellouts at her original eatery, the business transitioned into a consumer-packaged goods brand to scale clean-label comfort foods nationwide.
Abuelhiga noted that consumers should not have to compromise on food quality to satisfy quick cravings, emphasizing that good, wholesome food belongs in everyone’s home freezer.
The rollout begins across Costco warehouses in the US Northeast, the San Francisco Bay Area, and San Diego, adding to Mason Dixie’s presence in more than 6,000 retail stores across the country, including Whole Foods Market, Sprouts, and Giant.
The launch highlights an ongoing trend in the frozen food category toward transparent labeling and elevated, restaurant-quality convenience meals.
The introduction further strengthens Mason Dixie Foods’ presence in the frozen breakfast market, where demand for convenient, high-protein, and clean-label products continues to grow.
As retailers expand premium frozen offerings, products such as the Chicken Biscuit Sandwich demonstrate how manufacturers are responding to evolving consumer preferences for healthier ingredient lists without sacrificing the flavors associated with popular restaurant favorites.
