Krispy Kreme unveils new range of cheesecake doughnuts
The cheesecake-inspired doughnuts come in three varieties: Strawberry Dream Cheesecake, Cookies & Kreme Cheesecake, and Caramel Delight Cheesecake.
USA – Krispy Kreme Inc. has unveiled a new limited-edition offering that combines the delightful flavours of two favourite desserts: doughnuts and cheesecake.
Launched on April 22, the Krispy Kreme Craving Cheesecake Collection blends the brand’s light, fluffy doughnuts with the rich, creamy flavours of popular cheesecakes to create a melt-in-your-mouth experience with irresistible sweetness, according to the company.
The Strawberry Dream Cheesecake features an unglazed shell doughnut filled with cheesecake-flavoured cream, dipped in strawberry-flavoured icing, covered with berry-flavoured graham crunch, and drizzled with white icing.
The Cookies & Kreme Cheesecake variety features an unglazed shell doughnut filled with cookies-and-cream cheesecake-flavoured filling. It is then dipped in white icing, half-dipped in chocolate cookie crumble, and dusted with powdered sugar.
The Caramel Delight Cheesecake is a cinnamon sugar-ring doughnut is topped with cheesecake-flavoured buttercream, salted caramel-flavoured graham crunch, and drizzled with caramel-flavoured icing.
“Our new Craving Cheesecake Collection is perfect for those who love Krispy Kreme doughnuts and crave decadent cheesecake. Each of these unique doughnuts showcases your favourite cheesecake flavours while delivering the great taste of a Krispy Kreme doughnut,” said Dave Skena, the chief growth officer at Krispy Kreme.
The Krispy Kreme Craving Cheesecake Collection doughnuts are available individually or by the dozen for a limited time at Krispy Kreme shops, as well as through the Krispy Kreme website and app.
They are also available in six-count boxes delivered fresh daily to select grocery retailers, including Walmart, Kroger, Food Lion, Publix, and Stater Bros., among others.
Recently, Krispy Kreme has introduced several exciting new offerings. For example, in collaboration with Fruity Pebbles, they launched the Krispy Kreme x Fruity Pebbles Milk Original Glazed Doughnuts, available for a limited time from April 3 to April 6. This special doughnut featured a classic ring shape coated with a Fruity Pebbles Milk-flavoured glaze.
Additionally, starting March 19, Krispy Kreme and The Hershey Company collaborated to introduce a new edition of the popular annual Chocomania Collection
This year’s collection included three new doughnuts and a returning favourite, all featuring Krispy Kreme’s doughnuts topped with Hershey’s milk chocolate icing for a limited time at participating Krispy Kreme locations.
Krispy Kreme, Inc. is an American multinational doughnut company and coffeehouse chain, founded by Vernon Rudolph in 1937.
The company experienced steady growth followed by ambitious expansion after becoming a public company between 2000 and 2016, but this period ultimately proved unprofitable.
In 2016, Krispy Kreme returned to private ownership under JAB Holding Company, a private firm based in Luxembourg.
In July 2021, Krispy Kreme became publicly traded again on the Nasdaq. Notably, the brand name is a unique non-standard spelling of “crispy cream,” chosen for marketing purposes.
