Koenig Group strengthens customer presence with launch of distribution hub

König Nordic Oy will serve as a one-stop solution for bakery clients, offering sales consultation, technical training, and on-site service provided by Koenig’s own specialists.

FINLAND – Koenig Group, a leading manufacturer of bakery equipment, has announced a strategic expansion to strengthen its customer presence in Northern Europe with the establishment of a new subsidiary, König Nordic OY, based in Lahti, Finland.

Effective immediately, the new location will serve as the exclusive distributor for all Koenig Group products, including bakery machinery, spare parts, and service support in Finland as well as the Baltic countries of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

The move marks a strategic milestone in Koenig’s ongoing commitment to customer proximity and regional responsiveness.

By establishing a dedicated Nordic hub, the Austrian-based company aims to deliver faster service, localized support, and streamlined logistics to commercial and industrial bakeries operating in the region.

König Nordic Oy will serve as a one-stop solution for bakery clients, offering sales consultation, technical training, and on-site service provided by Koenig’s own specialists.

The new subsidiary is expected to enhance customer satisfaction through quicker turnaround times and more tailored support, especially for clients operating high-capacity production lines.

“We are creating proximity to our customers, strengthening the partnership and ensuring the best support, directly on site,” said Hannes Stelzer, CEO of Koenig Group.

“This expansion reflects our long-term commitment to the Nordic and Baltic markets, where demand for high-performance bakery technology continues to grow.”

The launch of König Nordic Oy follows a series of international expansions by Koenig, including the recent opening of a service branch in Switzerland and the strengthening of its sales teams in key global regions.

With an export quota exceeding 90%, Koenig continues to prioritize international growth while maintaining its manufacturing base in Graz, Austria.

The Nordic subsidiary will also play a key role in supporting Koenig’s modular equipment systems, which are increasingly favored by bakeries seeking scalable, automated solutions for dough processing, dividing, rounding, and baking.

As energy efficiency and production flexibility become top priorities for bakery operators, Koenig’s presence in the region is positioned to meet evolving customer needs with precision and speed.

By anchoring its operations in Lahti, Koenig not only improves access to its technology but also reinforces its brand visibility in a region known for innovation and quality in baked goods.

The expansion is expected to drive new partnerships and strengthen Koenig’s role as a trusted supplier in the European bakery sector.
