UK – General Mills has officially appointed Erasmo Nuzzi as its new Managing Director for the United Kingdom and Ireland.
An experienced internal leader, Nuzzi first joined the multi-billion-dollar business in 2003 and brings more than 20 years of international food industry expertise to his new position.
Under his new remit, Nuzzi will take the operational helm of the company’s largest market within its critical Europe, Australia, and North Asia (EANA) geographic unit, succeeding a legacy of strong regional leadership.
Most recently, Nuzzi served as the Platform and Channel Marketing Director for General Mills’ North America Food Service division. In that capacity, he directed commercial strategy, menu innovation, and regional execution for an expansive portfolio of iconic brands across diverse B2B and consumer channels.
Before his tenure in North America, Nuzzi built a prominent track record in Europe, serving as Managing Director for General Mills Iberia and European Distributor Markets from 2015 to 2022.
During this period, General Mills Spain became the fastest-growing food enterprise in the country, according to data from the consumer intelligence firm Nielsen.
Throughout his two decades at the Minneapolis-headquartered conglomerate, Nuzzi has been deeply instrumental in driving value, building cross-functional teams, and expanding international penetration for several of the company’s highest-grossing global consumer brands.
His experience spans major categories, including Mexican meal kits, premium dairy, and healthy snacks through household names like Old El Paso, Häagen-Dazs, and Nature Valley.
Ben Pearman, General Mills Vice President and Managing Director for EANA, praised Nuzzi as a fabulous and highly experienced commercial leader who is well-equipped to drive market share in the competitive British grocery sector.
General Mills, founded in 1866 and reporting global net sales of US$19 billion for fiscal year 2025, has maintained a physical retail presence in the United Kingdom since the 1960s.
The regional business currently sells six major brands across British and Irish retail channels, including Green Giant, Fibre One, and Betty Crocker, as well as its core snack and ice cream lines.
Expressing his excitement over returning to the European market, Nuzzi emphasized that the United Kingdom and Ireland represent a highly vital, momentum-driven business with talented teams and immense growth potential to deliver outstanding food experiences to modern consumers.
