The government has imposed a ban on maize exports to curb further depletion of national stocks.
The acquisition solidifies Mennel’s standing as a leading flour producer in the US and strengthens its ability to meet growing customer demand across the region.
The two mills have combined daily milling capacity of 12,800 cwts, including 7,000 cwts at the Omaha North mill and 5,800 cwts at the York, Pennsylvania, US, mill.
The facility will expand the commercial footprint of Al Ain Mills into Abu Dhabi, and the resulting increase of the company’s production capacity.
The investment will be channelled into upgrading production lines, expanding milling operations, and enhancing export capabilities.
