This acquisition supports SWT’s strategic focus on growth, diversification, and investment in value-added food production close to prairie grain supplies.
The acquisition adds a 33.34 per cent stake from Gulf Japan Poultry Farm, a transaction that would substantially raise OFM’s holding in the food producer.
The project follows a 50-year land lease agreement for the development of a state-of-the-art grain storage and processing facility.
The deal also includes the construction of 90,000 tonnes of steel silo storage, supporting integrated grain handling.
The MoU aligns with broader industry efforts to localise sourcing and reduce exposure to supply disruptions.
