The American company has been alloted 28 acres of land in the state’s Mannaparrai to produce snacks like potato chips.
The company said it had informed employees in mid-2024 of plans to phase out the Mohnton facility, which is near a larger Berks County plant in Reading.
The company said a significant decline in breakfast cereal sales in the UK and Ireland had put the future of the site in Bromborough in jeopardy.
This funding supports a multi-year initiative that has already resulted in improved productivity and reduced waste.
