SAUDI ARABIA- Global technology group ANDRITZ has secured a significant contract from Alwadi Poultry Farms Company to deliver a complete, high-capacity feed plant in Riyadh Province to bolster the Kingdom’s self-sufficiency in animal feed production.
The facility, set to begin operations in the first half of 2026, will supply poultry and ruminant feed to meet the growing demands of Saudi Arabia’s livestock industry.
The new plant will have a total production capacity of 90 tons per hour, divided into two poultry feed lines (60 TPH) and one ruminant feed line (30 TPH).
This high-output facility is part of Alwadi’s strategy to strengthen its vertically integrated operations and enhance feed quality across its production chain.
ANDRITZ, a global leader in process technologies and services, will supply the complete feed production line—from raw material intake to final product—equipped with core machinery such as hammer mills, mixers, pellet mills, and crumblers.
Key components will be manufactured in Europe, ensuring robust performance and reliability. The package also includes installation supervision, commissioning, and local after-sales support.
“With our long and distinguished history in the poultry sector, Alwadi Company has gained unparalleled experience,” said Mr. Khalid Alsanie, General Manager of Alwadi Poultry Farms Company.
“This experience has earned us the trust of our partners and consumers, and for many generations, our company has been a cornerstone of the poultry industry, built on a legacy of quality and a steadfast commitment to excellence.”
Alsanie explained that the decision to partner with ANDRITZ followed a careful and collaborative evaluation process. Once the idea of building a new feed mill was proposed,
Alwadi formed a dedicated team comprising members from the Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Technical Departments to assess various proposals.
After thoroughly analysing the offers, the team unanimously recommended ANDRITZ, citing the company’s high product quality, ease of maintenance, and strong technical presentation.
