TURKEY – Alapala International Inc. has once again secured a place on the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM)’s “Top 1000 Exporters of Turkey” list.
In addition to this national recognition, the company was also named Turkey’s top exporter in the “Grain Milling Technologies” sector, underscoring its growing influence in the global milling equipment market.
A longstanding presence in the food processing technology industry, Alapala has delivered more than 1,000 turnkey projects, including flour mills, feed mills, rice mills, and pasta production plants across over 120 countries.
Its end-to-end solutions encompass machinery supply, engineering design, steel construction, process automation, software development, installation, training, and after-sales support.
This integrated service approach enables Alapala to manage efficiency across the entire value chain, from design and manufacturing to commissioning and maintenance.
According to the company, this operational model has helped elevate it to become the second-largest player globally in the grain milling technologies sector.
Görkem Alapala, CEO of Alapala International, said the recognition was a reflection of sustained teamwork and strategic partnerships:
“Being listed once again in TİM’s Top 1000 Exporters is an honour. But more importantly, we take great pride in the 1000+ industrial plants we have delivered globally. Our exports are not limited to machines; they reflect decades of engineering excellence, reliability, and trust. This success is the result of collective dedication by our teams, global partners, and our valued customers.”
The company’s 70-year history has been marked by ongoing innovation and collaboration. Alapala’s partnerships extend from Europe to Asia, including design and engineering cooperation with firms like Italdesign in Italy.
This international reach and technical collaboration were recently recognized when the company received the German Innovation Award 2025 for its Similago II roller mill.
Awarded by the German Design Council on behalf of the German Federal Government, the accolade highlights the Similago II’s advancements in engineering, sustainability, and user-centered design. Developed through a joint effort between Alapala’s in-house R&D division and Italdesign, the roller mill represents a step forward in flour milling operations.
The award jury commended the Similago II for its “precision finish” and alignment with current food industry hygiene standards, positioning it as a benchmark in milling equipment innovation.
With its continued investment in design, manufacturing, and global partnerships, Alapala remains a key driver of innovation in the grain milling industry, reinforcing its leadership position not just in Turkey, but across international markets.
