MOROCCO – Turkish milling equipment giant, Alapala, has completed the construction of a turnkey semolina production plant for Imandy Mills in Morocco, according to a press release published on December 27.
According to the press, the new factory has a daily processing capacity of 240 tonnes of durum wheat, maize, and barley for the production of semolina.
The new plant also features a cereal storage capacity of 120,000 tonnes, ensuring a robust supply chain for the growing demands of the market.
The state-of-the-art facility is expected to boost Imandy Mills’ production capabilities and set a benchmark for sustainable and technologically advanced agro-processing practices in Morocco.
Founded in 2014, Imandy Mills is a subsidiary of the Africa Feed and Food Group, one of the largest producers in Morocco with 13 companies in five different sectors.
The company provides a wide range of flours, semolina as well as personalized products through several flagship brands including “Khoulala” and “Inkane”.
The new plant is expected to help it meet the needs of a wider range of consumers.
A win-win collaboration
According to Alapala and Imandy Mills, the collaboration is a testament to the importance of international partnerships in driving innovation and progress in the agribusiness sector.
The successful completion of the project is a win-win for both companies, and it is expected to have a positive impact on the Moroccan economy.
For Alapala, the success solidified its foothold in the African region and underscored its commitment to delivering seamless services across international borders.
Alapala completed this turnkey project using its teams and technology, from design to operator training, from installation of automation systems to commissioning.
In addition, the factory management system developed by Alapala, which provides efficient monitoring and control of production processes, allows the process, from the first processing of the wheat to the packaging of the flour, to be monitored from a single center with instant data, while allowing remote service support.
According to Alapala, the integration of remote service support ensures swift responses to any operational challenges that may arise.
The system is designed to improve efficiency and ensure the quality of the finished product.
Founded in 1954, Alapala Machine is the oldest and best-known company in the Alapala Group. It ranks among the world’s top two companies in its industrial branch and is one of Turkey’s top 1000 exporters, exporting 95% of its production.
