Omas Industries doubles headquarters size with US$8.7M investment
Once completed, the expanded headquarters will serve as a central hub for Omas‘ global operations, strengthening the company’s competitiveness in international markets and supporting the continued development of innovative solutions for the milling industry worldwide.
ITALY – Omas Industries, a manufacturer of milling technologies and equipment for the grain-processing industry, has announced a major €7.5 million (US$8.69M) investment to expand its global headquarters in San Giorgio delle Pertiche, located in the province of Padua.
The ambitious construction initiative will double the company’s existing facility footprint from 6,000 square meters to 12,000 square meters.
The strategic expansion aims to increase production capacity, streamline manufacturing workflows, and accelerate research and development across its next-generation cereal processing machinery portfolios.
The physical expansion will significantly scale up Omas’s core assembly lines, warehousing logistics, and technical testing capabilities.
Central to the new space will be an expanded innovation laboratory dedicated to advancing energy-efficient milling technologies, automated process control systems, and specialized equipment design.
Scheduled for full completion by March 2027, the expanded industrial hub will also feature enhanced administrative offices, customer demonstration centers, and dedicated technical training facilities to accommodate growing international demand for turnkey flour and semolina milling plants.
Omas Industries has experienced rapid international growth over recent years, driven by the commercial adoption of its flagship technology solutions, such as the energy-saving Leonardo roller mill.
By doubling its headquarters footprint, Omas positions itself to better serve large-scale commercial milling projects across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas.
Chief Executive Officer Luigi Nalon emphasized that expanding the Paduan site reflects the firm’s long-term commitment to maintaining high manufacturing standards while sustaining its position at the forefront of global milling innovation.
In addition to enhancing operational efficiency and throughput, the expanded facility is built around modern environmental and architectural standards.
The new construction will incorporate energy-efficient building infrastructure, high-capacity solar installations, and optimized material movement layouts designed to minimize the facility’s overall operational carbon footprint.
As the company continues to expand its international activities, the additional facilities will create opportunities to attract new technical and professional talent while providing more space for workforce development.
The project will also create new opportunities for talent acquisition and workforce development as Omas continues to expand its international activities.
By unifying research, engineering, and high-volume assembly under one expanded roof, Omas aims to significantly reduce lead times for international plant deliveries and support the evolving machinery demands of global industrial millers.
