Ocrim expands agro industrial business with planned acquisition of FPM Srl

The planned deal will add seed cleaning, sorting and conditioning equipment to Ocrim‘s product portfolio.

ITALY – Ocrim SpA has agreed to acquire FPM Srl, an Italian company that designs and manufactures machinery for the agro industrial sector, with a strong focus on seed cleaning, sorting and conditioning. The companies expect to complete the transaction before the end of 2026.

Ocrim said the acquisition forms part of its long term growth plans and will strengthen its agro industrial offering in Italy. The company added that the move supports its goal of building a stronger local supply chain while bringing together companies with specialist expertise and deep roots in Italian manufacturing.

The addition of FPM, which operates from Scandiano, Italy, will also widen Ocrim’s ability to support customers across different stages of grain and seed processing. The company said the acquisition strengthens its position as a single supplier that can provide equipment and services from raw material handling through to advanced processing systems.

The latest deal comes less than a year after Ocrim announced another agreement aimed at expanding its presence in the feed and agro food industries.

In August 2025, Ocrim entered into a partnership with Grespan Impianti, an Italian company with more than 60 years of experience in designing and building complete feed production plants.

At the time, the companies said the agreement would combine Ocrim’s milling technology with Grespan’s experience in feed production systems to provide complete solutions for customers in the global feed and agro food sectors.

“Together, the two companies offer integrated, high tech, flexible solutions geared toward maximum efficiency. Our alliance is rooted in shared Italian manufacturing values, a commitment to innovation, and an ability to deliver on diverse customer needs,” the companies said in a joint statement.

Founded in 1961 and based in Castrette di Villorba, Italy, Grespan Impianti develops systems for livestock feed production, food premixes and bulk material handling, including storage, dosing and mixing equipment used in the food, paint and construction industries.

Ocrim, headquartered in Cremona, has supplied milling equipment for wheat, maize and other grains to customers in more than 150 countries. The planned acquisition of FPM, together with its partnership with Grespan Impianti, marks another step in the company’s efforts to expand its capabilities across the grain, seed and feed processing sectors.
