Bauducco opens largest US manufacturing facility in Florida
The Zephyrhills facility is being developed in three phases, with the first phase operational by mid-2026, the second by 2028, and the third by 2030.
USA – Global bakery giant Bauducco has officially opened its largest manufacturing facility in the United States, marking a major milestone in the brand’s 75-year history.
Located in Zephyrhills, Florida, within the growing industrial corridor of Pasco County, the state-of-the-art 160,000-square-foot plant brings advanced production technology directly to the North American market, vastly increasing the brand’s local footprint.
The launch of the newly completed facility marks the culmination of the project’s initial phase, which scaled up rapidly following an extensive nationwide evaluation of more than 160 potential sites in seven states.
Zephyrhills was chosen for its robust infrastructure, strategic logistics positioning near major transit hubs in Tampa and Orlando, and business-friendly environment.
State and local government bodies actively supported the project, providing crucial site-ready infrastructure and multi-million dollar economic incentive packages to secure the investment.
Representing a total projected investment of over US$200 million across multiple development phases, the campus has been strategically engineered for future expansion.
The site can scale beyond 1.2 million square feet of production and distribution capacity to accommodate the company’s long-term growth.
This permanent commitment to manufacturing on American soil allows Bauducco to streamline its supply chain, shorten retail lead times, and respond to rising consumer demand across all 50 states with much greater speed and precision.
The manufacturing hub will specialize in producing Bauducco’s popular wafer portfolio, biscuits, and seasonal specialty items under a localized “Made in USA” framework.
Utilizing cutting-edge baking technology and a highly sanitary design, the plant will operate with enhanced flexibility to introduce new product varieties tailored specifically for US palates.
While seasonal products like Panettones remain a massive driver for the company, with Bauducco commanding a dominant market share, the new plant provides a year-round operations centre to diversify retail offerings.
Bauducco expects the facility to employ over 600 people at full production capacity, making it one of the more significant food manufacturing employers in Pasco County.
