Olam Agri wins two top honours at Ghana Manufacturing Awards
The recognition comes as the company expands local food production and celebrates further leadership recognition in Ghana.
GHANA – Olam Agri has secured two major honours at the 2026 Ghana Manufacturing Awards, earning the titles of Flour Manufacturing Company of the Year and Agro-Processing Company of the Year.
The awards recognise the work of teams at the company’s Tema Wheat Mill and Pasta Factory and highlight their focus on safety, quality, reliability and ongoing improvement.
The Flour Manufacturing Company of the Year award reflects the performance of Olam Agri’s wheat milling business, which has grown over the past 14 years to become Ghana’s leading flour producer.
The Agro-Processing Company of the Year award acknowledges the company’s Pasta Factory, which recently introduced First Choice Premium Spaghetti, described as Ghana’s first locally manufactured spaghetti brand.
The recognition also highlights the contribution of employees across both facilities and the leadership of Pawan Kumar Sharma and Aditya Gupta.
Commenting on the achievement, Olam Agri Ghana Country Head Baibhav Biswas said the awards reflect the efforts of teams across the business.
“These awards belong to every team member who contributes to our operations every day. From production and engineering to quality, safety, warehousing and logistics, this recognition reflects the dedication, expertise and teamwork that drive our success.”
The latest recognition adds to a strong period for Olam Agri in Ghana. Earlier this month, Biswas received the Agribusiness CEO of the Year award at the 2026 Ghana CEO Excellence Awards during the Ghana CEO Summit in Accra.
According to the award organisers, the honour recognises business leaders who contribute to Ghana’s economic growth through industrial development, sustainable business practices and support for local industries.
Olam Agri said the award reflects progress made under Biswas’ leadership to strengthen local food production and support the country’s industrial growth agenda.
A key milestone has been the commissioning of Ghana’s first purpose-built pasta manufacturing facility, which produces the First Choice Premium Spaghetti range and supports employment across manufacturing, logistics and distribution.
The company has also continued to invest in skills development through its Raising Generations Initiative, delivered in partnership with the Ghana TVET Service. The programme helps young people build baking and business skills that can support employment opportunities and small business growth.
Together, the latest awards highlight Olam Agri’s growing role in Ghana’s food manufacturing sector and its continued investment in local production, workforce development and value addition.
