While corn is under pressure, Bulgaria’s wheat harvest has improved, rising an estimated 8.5%.
The ban will remain in place for 30 days, effective immediately and lasting until Friday, October 3.
The country grapples with its worst drought in 36 years, which has reduced wheat output by about 40 percent.
Markets eased up to the end of July, pressured by strong supply prospects, harvest progress, currency movements, and lacklustre export demand.
It will also address key challenges such as productivity, local processing capacity, and environmental sustainability.
