The agreements will support soybean, corn and barley supplies to China while strengthening trade links between major producing and consuming markets.
The award comes weeks after Olam Agri launched Ghana’s first locally produced pasta brand, First Choice Premium Spaghetti.
The company says the new products will help households, bakers, and small food businesses manage cost while maintaining quality.
The deal raises SALIC’s ownership in Olam Agri to 80.01% and moves the business closer to full acquisition within three years.
These changes, set to take effect following the company’s fifth Annual General Meeting (AGM) on April 27, 2026, represent a pivotal shift in the firm’s multi-year “Updated 2025 Re-organization Plan.”
