The agreement will enable Brinker to concentrate on producing and selling fresh bakery items, while Aryzta contributes its expertise in bakery manufacturing and product development.

The new lines, inaugurated at a seed processing facility in the Ahleila area, have a combined capacity of 20 tonnes per hour, with each line handling up to 10 tonnes per hour.

The plant comprises four integrated production lines, with capacity for 5,000 litres of liquid pesticides per day alongside five tonnes per day of powder pesticides.

The commission approved the vertical merger subject to conditions aimed at preserving competition in the flour market, protecting rival bakeries and limiting merger-related job losses.

Construction is expected to begin in the coming weeks, with the facility targeted for completion in fall 2028.
