The project provides a full-service grain elevator capable of loading more than 200 containers per week, with an annual export capacity of approximately 275,000 tonnes.
The opening aligns with surging consumer demand across North American retail channels for convenient, high-protein snacks and specialized nutrition products with clean-label credentials.
The deal expands Kalmbach’s direct access to local grain supplies and strengthens the company’s broader investments across feed, pet food, and ingredient manufacturing and distribution.
Each plant covers between 25% and 50% of an elevator’s electricity needs, depending on its operating mode.
