The transaction brings Aberdeen Grain’s 65,000-tonne storage and drying facility Frontier’s ownership and expands the company’s infrastructure in one of Scotland’s key cereal-producing regions.

The deal builds on Novonesis’ original 2013 investment in MicroBioGen and its current 23% stake in the Sydney-based firm, extending a collaboration between the two companies that spans more than a decade.

The completion of the transaction gives Vandemoortele full ownership of Banneton Bakery, strengthening its manufacturing footprint in the United States and reinforcing its commitment to serving the growing demand for premium frozen bakery products across the region

The terminal will add grain handling and storage capacity to JGL Commodities’ network, supporting a reliable and efficient supply chain for producers and end-use customers.

The all-cash deal will take Utz private and marks Intersnack’s first major expansion into the United States, strengthening its position in the global savory snacks market.
